If there's one makeup item that I cannot live without that is lipstick, it doesn't just make your lips standout it's also a really fun way to play with color!
and for that reason I own way too many lipsticks, which I have to say didn't stop me from buying these beauties, despite owning more red lipsticks than I need, there was something about these lipsticks that made it impossible for me to just leave them on the shelf, and oh dear, I was so right!
Although I didn't really like the previous L'oreal Collection Privée nude Lipsticks which was really disappointing considering the hype on the internet, I was far from let down with this collection!
These lipsticks are one of the creamiest, most long-wearing, pigmented and beautiful lipsticks I have come across and that is a big statement! these do not dry your lips at all, which is always hard when wearing a matte lipstick and thats just another reason that made me fall in love with these.
As with any other bold lip, I would suggest you use a lip liner first, to out line your lips and get a sharp edge and then fill it in with your lipstick, which I find it's easier in case you mess up with the line, but that's up to personal preference, the lipsticks leave a really subtle stain as they wear off after a few hours eating or drinking, just like any other long-wearing lipstick but it does come off easily with makeup remover, and they're slightly scented however you can't smell it when its on.
This collection is inspired by 10 celebrities and their perfect reds, so I will introduce you to 3 of the 10 shades available in this collection.
Without any further due, let me show you want the swatches look like.
Julianne, a pinky red, this is the brightest one out of the three, and its supposedly more suited to gingers, but it still looks great on my skin tone.
Laetitia, a gorgeous dark plummy red, this shade is perfect for the autumn-winter and looks good on everyone!
And so you get a better idea, here you can see how they look once on the lips!
Laetitia
Simply beautiful... I honestly can't get enough of them!
If I had to pick my favorite of the three it would have to be Blake, just because it's the perfect red for me, a lovely blue-toned red that makes your teeth look whiter! and also because it reminds a lot of my beloved MAC lipstick Rubywoo.
If you want a more affordable yet high quality matte red lipstick that does not dry out your lips and its long-wearing I would say definitely go for these, you just can't go wrong!
You can also get them at your local drugstore or any shop that stocks L'oreal products.
I hope that you enjoyed this review and if you have any questions, just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you, also let me know if you have tried them and what do you think of them!
Have a great day.
